Parent, Baby & Toddler Yoga

Our parent, baby & toddler yoga classes combine restorative yoga to care for your back and hips with de-stress yoga and mindful yoga to care for your mental health and overall well-being. Classes also include Yoga for strength and flexibility as well as yoga for the babies and toddlers.
Good old fashioned community and lots of fun! Make new friends, share, play, sing, dance, massage, and be nurtured. Different resources are included each week on aspects of attachment parenting.
Classes are run by the term. Early booking is recommended as class sizes are limited. Numbers permitting it is possible to join in at any time during the term.
Topics Covered during the term include;
- Co-Sleeping - Safety guidelines and night-time parenting.
- Long-term Breastfeeding - Optimal attachment to prevent soreness, mastitis cures & prevention, public breastfeeding support, benefits, bonding, history and heaps of support.
- Baby-wearing - Use of the baby sling, history, types, benefits and safety guidelines.
- Introduction of solids - Healthy foods, teething, biting.
- Relationship support - Non-violent communication skills facilitating healthy families.
- Mindful Parenting - Stress reduction, coping techniques, adjusting to change.
- Loving guidance - Why not to hit children – alternative methods of discipline. Emotional coaching and awareness.
- Understanding child development - Realistic expectations.
- Temper tantrums - What are they? What to do? How to prevent them?
- Loving support and awareness of birth trauma and post-natal depression
- Creating supportive social networks and parents as agents of social change
- Special support for single parents
