About The Course

Meditation statue

Mindfulness training is a basic life skill that everyone can benefit from. Worldwide, mindfulness is being taught in hospitals (particularly in the field of pain management), schools, prisons, workplaces and corporations, parenting centers, mental health and wellness centers and incorporated into sports training programs.

Considerable research is available to demonstrate the benefits of training - with gratitude to the pioneering work of Jon Kabat-Zinn and many others.

The art of mindfulness is the returning of our attention again and again to whatever is there for us in the present moment, non-judgmentally. It is a way of directly experiencing our body, the rhythms of our breath and our inner sense of being. A way of witnessing our thoughts and feelings and the spaces in between. By listening and attuning in this way we can re-establish a whole new relationship with our self and bring a sense of unity to our body and mind. We can find a way of being at peace, of discovering a renewed sense of compassion and empathy towards our self, and others.

The practice of Mindfulness can be truly transformative and although in a sense simple takes effort and consistency this is why through time individuals have come together to create supportive Mindful Communities.
