Yoga is the ancient science of freedom and enlightenment

One of its core techniques is meditation. Join us at the Home of Yoga for a four-part workshop on an in-depth exploration of meditation and the yogic journey.

Workshop Outline

All sessions will include asana, pranayama exercises, guided meditation, and time for discussion.

Session 1 – The mind and meditation Wednesday 18th July 5:30 pm
Session 2 – Silence and stillness Saturday 21st July 10 am
Session 3 – Non-attachment and presence Wednesday 25th July 5:30 pm
Session 4 – Common obstacles and the journey Saturday 28th July 10 am

The Presenter

Matthew Yap (Nada) has been actively learning about yoga and meditation for over ten years. He has learnt from gurus and ashrams in India and around the world, seeking to translate this ancient tradition for people of the Western World. Most recently, he has studied alignment-based yoga with Sam Weinstein at the Home of Yoga for the past two years. A scientist by profession, Matthew hopes to share the joy and knowledge that he has gained from his journey in a way that is accessible for people with everyday lives
